This cottage is the ancestral home of Johann Christopher Schweitzer. Built by him in 1709 it is 300 years old. Here were born Peter, Margaret, and the other children of Christopher whose descendants we note in this site.
As you can see in the 2000 photo the home is unoccupied and overgrown. In July of 2004 Gary Switzer purchased the property and has made extensive renovations. Look at the current photos (2009) to see what has been done to make this home beautiful. Gary is to be congratulated on this fine accomplishment. May he enjoy it.
